  • Art Journal Foundation invites passionate educators, researchers, and artists to contribute their expertise and voice to the second edition of Spark Creativity. Share your best practices, philosophies, or research to help build a dynamic knowledge bank for art learners and teachers worldwide.

Write on One of These Themes - An article (Max. 1500 words):



  • Selected articles will be published on the Art Journal Foundation website and serve as research support for art students in their investigations.

    • 2. Sustainable Art Practices:
      • • Investigate eco-conscious art-making—how art can raise environmental awareness, use sustainable materials, or contribute to discussions on climate change.
    • 3. Art and Digital Identity:
      • • Examine how digital platforms are shaping artistic identity, self-expression, and audience engagement. Explore NFTs, online galleries, and digital portfolios in art education.
    • 4. Art and Neurodiversity:
      • • Focus on inclusive art education and how creative expression supports neurodiverse learners. Research methodologies that empower students with different cognitive styles.
    • 5. Art and Migration:
      • • Analyze the role of art in representing stories of migration, displacement, and diaspora. How do artists and students navigate identity and belonging through visual language?
    • 6. Art and Technology in the Classroom:
      • • Explore how tools like VR, AR, and digital drawing tablets are transforming art teaching and learning. What pedagogies evolve with these integrations?

      • • Highlight the role of playfulness in the creative process. How does imaginative play influence innovation, experimentation, and risk-taking in art classrooms?

      • • Reflect on where arts education is headed. What models, philosophies, or disruptions are redefining the role of the arts in 21st-century learning?
    • 9. Community Art and Collaboration:
      • • Study the power of collaborative art projects in schools or communities. How do collective processes enhance empathy, connection, and learning?
    • 10. The Artist-Teacher Identity:
      • • Delve into the dual role of artist and educator. How does personal art practice inform teaching, and vice versa?
    • 11. Decolonizing the Art Curriculum:
      • • Investigate how to move beyond Eurocentric frameworks. Explore indigenous art practices, local crafts, and pluralistic approaches in teaching art.
    • 12. Art and the Adolescent Voice:
      • • How do teenagers use art to express their social, emotional, and political selves? Research how educators can empower these voices meaningfully.
    • 13. Art as Interdisciplinary Inquiry:
      • • Look at how art can be a central node in STEAM education. How can arts-based inquiry enrich science, history, and language learning?
    • 14. Reimagining Assessment in the Arts:
      • • Explore alternative and authentic ways to assess student growth in the arts. From portfolios to process documentation, how can we make assessment meaningful?
    • 15. Art in Times of Crisis:
      • • Investigate how art helps students process global events—pandemics, wars, climate crises—and how teachers can create safe, expressive spaces for dialogue.

    Submission Guidelines – Spark Creativity 2025


    • Deadline for Submission: 30th June 2025
    • How to Submit:
      • Upload your article as a PDF file along with:
        • A short bio (max. 150 words)
        • Your contact details
      • Use the link provided in the official email sent to your registered email ID.
    • Submission Requirements:
      • Work must be original and unpublished.
      • Articles should be written in a clear, engaging style, targeting high school students and above.
      • Ensure your submission includes practical strategies, case studies, research findings, or real classroom experiences.
      • A bibliography must be included to support research and references.
    • Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:
      • Content
      • Organization and Structure
      • Style and Conventions
      • Grammar and Mechanics
      • Creativity and Originality

    Recognition & Publication:


      • Selected contributors will be awarded ‘Trophies of Contribution’ and acknowledged as supporters in the global mission to empower arts education.
      • Published entries will be featured on the Art Journal Foundation website, post mentorship sessions with our experts
      • Your work will be shared with arts student communities globally, serving as an inspirational resource for creative learners.

    Important Notes:


      • Spark Creativity is not a competition ranking firsts and seconds — it is a contribution-based event celebrating the uniqueness of every voice.
      • All submissions will be reviewed by a reputable and experienced panel of educators, researchers, and artists.
      • The experts’ decision on publication is final and binding.
      • Plagiarized entries will be disqualified.
